Since every illness has an emotiional component or response I personally feel it is the least of what patients should be worried about in terms of info doctors might omit. Every patient whether they present with a cold, chronic pain, cancer, any illness would have to be told this might cause you to feel anxious depressed upset etc. It would be nice off docs were sensitive to that part of illness and suffering but in my experience unfortunately most aren;t and they no longer have the time to deal with it even if they were that empathetic.
