Coming Soon, Free Standardized Healing Modules, with Little or No Side-effects

Coming Soon, Free Standardized Healing Modules, with Little or No Side-effects

Every Person in the World Could Have Access to This Healing Tool

Health care is so expensive these days with little or no relief in sight. Are we overlooking something that is free or low cost with little or no side effects? I think so. Hypnotherapy is a proven healing technique but has been pushed to the side by the medical industry, probably due to low profit margin.

Most, if not all, people can be hypnotized at least to some extent. Even if they are not hypnotized, the hypnotic process will probably relax them. A relaxed person is more receptive to healing, than a "stressed out" individual.

Medical authorities around the world have recognized the effectiveness of hypnotherapy. Even the American Medical Association recognizes hypnotherapy as a possible treatment.

Many people learn to use self-hypnosis. In fact, all hypnosis is considered self-hypnosis.

Now that we know hypnosis is effective or at least helpful, let us see how we can go about using it more.

When hypnosis was first used in a healing manner, we did not have the technology of today. Today we can build on the work of others to make standardized hypnotherapy modules for many health maladies.

Here are some ways in which hypnotherapy could be provided to the public in a low-cost or free manner:
  • Use a Computer for Self-Hypnosis, perhaps under the direction of a healthcare professional. Using a computer to hypnotize is not a new concept. Just ask anyone who works in front of a computer. MIT proposed this concept in the article "Could a Computer Hypnotize You? - Transforming hypnosis from an art to a science". Another example is U.S. Patent 6,565,504 "Method and apparatus to create and induce a self-created hypnosis".
  • Make Standardized Healing Modules for most health maladies. Many of the medical conditions that we treat with drugs are actually very responsive to hypnosis. Some examples are Obesity, Allergies, Warts, Addictions, Birthing, etc. Some examples of how standardized hypnosis healing modules were used are "The Robot Psychiatrist" and "The Virtual Healing Machine".
  • Use existing hardware and software to develop a complete healing module. One example of a tool to make a complete hypnosis session ready for playback is "Virtual Hypnotist". From their website is the following: "Virtual Hypnotist is a free, open source, interactive hypnosis program, and is a rewrite of Hypnotizer 2000. It includes features such as voice recognition, speech synthesis, subliminal messages, completely customizable scripts (featuring a unique scripting language), videos, audio, and lots more. Its purpose is to simulate a real hypnosis session as much as possible." I am sure there are other software packages or tools to create a complete hypnotherapy session, though.
  • Use the proven hypnosis scripts of professional hypnotherapists. Scripts are the spoken words used by a hypnotherapist in inducing a healing trance. Sometimes these spoken words are recorded for patient's home use. Some proven scripts are in the books below. Please be aware that these scripts might be copyright protected.
To achieve such a task, perhaps governments could create Healing Modules and make them available to the public. Grants could be offered to learning institutions to create these modules and upload them to the Internet. These free or low-cost modules for home use could be offered in free-clinics, pharmacies, etc.

Of course, the use of these modules would be voluntary by individuals. These modules might be particularly attractive to those who do not have access to traditional healthcare. As such, this might be considered as Alternative Therapy.

These Healing Modules could be used with Traditional Medicine, under the care of a Healthcare Professional. - In such a case, these modules would be considered Complementary Therapy. For example, healing modules could be used in conjunction with pain medication for Chronic Pain management. Using both healing modules and medicine could very well result in lower medicine dosage.

Takeaways:
  • Hypnosis is a recognized healing method, though little used, in this modern world.
  • Technology could bring healing to many people via Hypnosis Healing Modules.
  • These Healing Modules could be free of cost and have minimum side effects.
  • Government agencies could take the lead in developing Hypnosis Healing Modules. Reducing health care costs is a concern worldwide. Hypnosis Healing Modules could prove to be a cost-effective method to achieve this.

Do You Really Need All Those Medications? Could the Dosage Be Reduced?

15+ Ways to Increase the Effective Potency of Your Medicines and Therefore Decrease Your Dosage

Do You Really Need All Those Medications? Could the Dosage Be Reduced?

For those people who want to decrease medicine usage, there is hope. Recently, it has been found that hypnosis, suggestion, and/or the Placebo Effect can amplify the effect of medicines or treatments. This probably has been known for a long time but only becoming known now, for whatever reason.

Be sure to work with a healthcare professional to evaluate your medicine usage. Then, inform your doctor you would like to use the power of your mind to increase the potency of each medicine. By increasing the effective potency, you can probably decrease the dosage of many prescriptions. Listen to your doctor but decide what is best for you.

You might have to find a new doctor, since many doctors are only physicians and do not consider the mind-body connection. The choice is up to you. You are in charge of your own health care.

Are your medicines or treatments not working very well, are troublesome, or are unaffordable? Maybe it is time to try something new and enlist the power of your mind.

If you are ready, below are some suggestions on how medications or treatments could be enhanced, amplified, or generally made more effective.

First, it is important to relax. Stress aggravates any illness and hinders any medicine or treatment from being effective. Find a stress management routine that works for you on a long-term basis. Consider this part of your medicine or treatment. Your life or at least your good health might very well depend on it.

1. Put your pills in a brightly colored large container, labeled "Pill Potency Increaser". Subconsciously, you think the pills inside are actually increasing potency.
2. Ask a clergy person to bless the pills or treatment with extra healing power.
3. Wrap a devotional object, e.g. rosary, around the pill container and pray for a potency increase.
4. Make your own healing machine to amplify the pills, salve, etc. Keep your medications in your healing machine until use to maximize potency.
5. It is important to find a health care professional to encourage you in your efforts. Doctors have great power over us, since they are seen as authority figures. If the doctor says something will work, the medicine or treatment will probably work better. If the doctor is not confident of the medicine or treatment offered, it will not work as well. This also applies for a doctor discarding your mind-body concepts. Adverse effects from negative comments or actions of a doctor are called the Nocebo Effect.
6. Ask family members or friends to hold the pill bottles for a while to infuse extra healing power. Love and caring is a powerful healer in itself.
7. Buy or make yourself a small special light. Decorate and locate the light just the way you want. Keep the light on all the time to remind you of the healing power of your medication. Maybe let the light shine on your pill bottles to direct healing rays into the medication.
8. Pause briefly before you take your dose of medicine. Think how effective your potency-increased dosage is going to be. Look at the medicine as you take it. Feel it going into your body. Imagine a warm feeling inside that results from internal healing beyond the potency of the medicine. Your body is now working with the medicine. You are healing from the inside out and you know it. You can feel it.
9. Listen to guided imagery recordings that suggest or encourage your internal healing power. You can even make your own healing recordings. Put in suggestions such as "My wonderful mind is increasing the potency of each of my medications. Therefore, I will need less medication as time goes on. I am working with supportive health care professionals who are cheering me on. I am so lucky." Consider wrapping the headphone cord around your pill bottles to infuse healing audio energy into the medicine.
10. Consider a hypnotherapist to suggest to your mind that the medicines or treatments are more powerful than they technically are. You can also learn self-hypnosis to help you relax and add effective potency to your medicines. Some say hypnosis can increase the placebo effect for better results.
11. Watch healing videos or computer games as you take your medicines. Imagine the medicine focusing on the malady and beating it. Imagine yourself being restored to health. Put your medicines right in front of the computer monitor to show that world that you are serious in getting better. You are "sick and tired of being sick and tired".
12. Heal in groups by combining with others who also want to increase the effective healing power of their medicines. This could be groups in person, over the Internet, on the telephone, etc. Combine the healing power of all of you to help each one of you. Brainstorm new ideas.
13. If you are a parent or caregiver and giving medications or treatments, pause for a moment and you yourself become relaxed. Say an encouraging word or two, like "This will make you feel better". Use your imagination to make up positive, encouraging, uplifting comments instead of absent-mindedly giving pills to others. If you are religious or spiritual, you could "pray" with the person to make the pills work extra-good.
14. Wear some special jewelry or have something in your pocket to remind you that your medicine is working. When symptoms recur, rub the special object. Feel the warmth of the object that has been heated by your own body. Remind yourself that the medicine is still working. Shift your thinking to something else. Maybe think of what you want to do when you feel better. Change your mind, which you can do, from sickness to health. Then go on knowing that the medicine is indeed working.
15. Add some music to your pill taking or treatment. You might consider something like the 1959 song "High Hopes", "Theme from Rocky", or anything else that empowers you and gives you hope.
16. Use scents (aromatherapy) to enhance the medication or treatment and relax you.
17. Thank your medicine for working so well. Thank your body for working with the medicine or treatment. You and your medicine are now working in unison now. Your doctor might think you now need less medicine to achieve the same effect. You are doing it. Congratulate yourself on your progress. Do not expect too much at first. Make small changes. Sometimes forward, sometimes back, but you are indeed improving. Tell others about your success, especially your doctor. Your doctor might very well be amazed and astonished. Maybe your outstanding progress will help others. Enjoy your new healthy happy life.

Yes, some will discard all this mind-body talk. Let them think what they want. If it works, who cares? What do you have to lose?

Henry Ford said, "If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right."
Whether you or doctors like it or not, there is a psychological component with any active medication or treatment. When the psychological component is positive, it is called the Placebo Effect. When the psychological component is negative, it is called the Nocebo Effect.

Perhaps, Mr. Ford's quote could be revised to say something like "If you think it will work or if you do not think it will work, you're right".

Takeaways:
  • There is a psychological or placebo/nocebo effect with any active medication or treatment.
  • You can make your medicines or treatments more effective by relaxing, maximizing the placebo effect, and minimizing the nocebo effect.
  • You are in charge of your own health care and can decide what is best for you.

Combining Clown Therapy and Hypnotherapy to Enhance Healing

Combining Clown Therapy and Hypnotherapy to Enhance Healing - Healing from the Inside Out

Medical clowns have a way of mesmerizing children with their performance. The magic, humor, and movements of the clown focus the child's attention. Might this be a window of opportunity for the medical clown to make a few healing hypnotic suggestions to the child?

Hypnosis has long been known to be a good healing aid. Even the American Medical Association has recognized this when applied by a qualified health professional. Currently, few, if any, medical clowns use hypnotherapeutic suggestions in their performance. The clown could even teach the child to hypnotize themselves for difficult medical procedures. Who better could describe flying away on a magic carpet than a clown or performer?
The hypnotic suggestions could be embedded within the clown's performance. There are established hypnotic scripts available for children. The clown could then weave these suggestions within the performance. The child would be entertained, relaxed, and given healing suggestions all at the same time.
On the other end of life, many senile adults are child-like. Therefore, these same techniques could be tried in geriatric settings.

Below are listed some uses where hypnosis has helped children manage difficult situations, especially in a hospital environment.
  1. Acute pain management, especially when the pain is known to be imminent, such as repeated treatment sessions. These types of treatments might include swallowing pills, injections, IV initiation, spinal taps, or bone marrow procedures.
  2. Chronic pain can also be managed effectively.
  3. Relaxation is known to promote healing, as well as to make medical procedures easier.
  4. Anxiety might very well be impeding breathing, accelerating heart rate, and just making the child more uncomfortable than necessary.
  5. Reduce cancer pain and perhaps even promote remission. Hypnosis has even been shown to improve the immune system, probably by reducing overall stress.
  6. Nausea can be controlled, especially during chemotherapy.
  7. Anxiety of being separated from parent and familiar surroundings can be reduced.
  8. Assist getting to sleep, which of course is healing in itself.
Hypnosis is something that the Clown Doctor could learn. To ensure competent treatment, the Medical Clown could also be a licensed or certified Hypnotherapist. In addition, any hypnotic treatment should be reviewed and approved by the hospital medical team, parents, etc.
TAKEAWAYS:
  • Clown Therapy and Hypnosis are two separate agents to promote healing and relaxation.
  • Hypnotherapeutic suggestions might be a good addition to a Medical Clown's performance.
  • Combining Clown Therapy and Hypnotherapy might be another step toward total integrative mind-body healing.

How One Person Used Hypnosis to Improve Their Surgical Experience

Self-Hypnosis Helps Some Surgical Patients - How One Person Used Hypnosis to Improve Their Surgical Experience

The time was drawing near for my surgery. I was scared even thinking about it. Then, I remembered that hypnosis might help me. I had previously read how hypnosis has been helpful to some patients to improve the surgical results. I was particularly interested in self-hypnosis, since it was something I could do myself.

I thought I could try this. What do I have to lose? Here are the steps I took to improve my surgical experience, using self-hypnosis.

1. First, I learned about self-hypnosis as applied to surgery by some Yahoo! Searching of the Internet. It is very helpful, particularly with relaxing before and after surgery. There were a few reports that people can hear soothing words and music even during anesthesia.
2. During this search, I found some products that I could purchase. The available products consisted of mp3 recordings of voice and/or music. There were even kits consisting of recordings and headphones. I decided to make my own kit, but the Yahoo! Search gave me some excellent ideas. My kit consisted of my digital recorder and a pair of comfortable headphones.
3. Next, I asked the surgical planner how long my preparation, surgery, and post-op recovery would be. In my case, this was 1-1/2 hours. I asked for permission from the surgical center and doctor. They were puzzled, since this was a new request, but allowed me to do this. One nurse even knew about this technique from using self-hypnosis in birthing.
4. I found on the Internet a hypnosis script that I liked - "Script To Promote Healing Before Surgery".
5. I then read the script into my computer, adding my name now and then to make it more personal. I used Audacity to record my voice in an editable format. Audacity is a free open source audio recording and editing program -.
6. I found some free mp3 music downloads that I liked from Danosongs.com and downloaded them.
7. I edited the soundtracks to achieve about 2 hours of music, with my self-hypnosis words occurring occasionally throughout. When I was done, I loaded my digital recorder with this 2-hour music/voice file.
8. My kit was ready. On the day of surgery, I learned that the headphones could not have metal on them, so the nurse covered them with a little tape.
9. I made it known that I wanted the recorder to play in my ears before, during, and after surgery. They agreed unless it hindered the surgical procedure. That sounded good to me.
10. It happened. I went into surgery confident and relaxed. There were no problems at all.
Looking back, I can see what really happened in my surgical experience.
  • I believed hypnosis could work for me in surgery, since it had worked for others. I also believed it would work for me especially since I had used self-hypnosis with other conditions and had good results.
  • I felt "in control" of my surgical experience with my little digital recorder and earphones. I did my thing while I was being prepped, operated on, and cared for. In a way, I was in my own little world.
  • All these activities took my mind off the surgical experience, thus reducing my anxiety.
From all this, I would definitely do this again, for any troubling medical procedure. The medical staff was very cooperative and I appreciated that. I felt like I was a part of the medical team and not at the mercy of the team.
